As a Senior Legal Engineer (m/f/d), you'll shape the future of legal work at Noxtua. You translate complex legal requirements into AI-based solutions and develop proof-of-concepts that demonstrate how legal research, contract drafting and review, application and administrative procedures, as well as other legal processes can be automated and optimized. 
You develop requirement catalogs and structured prompts that form the foundation of our Legal AI workspace. Additionally, you design legal benchmarks, build test sets, validate AI outputs, and ensure continuous quality assurance. You work closely with our AI experts and conduct internal and external workshops on the use of Legal AI. 

YOUR TEAM 

Noxtua's Legal Team currently consists of several fully qualified lawyers, research associates, and Legal Engineers. Together, we combine legal excellence with deep understanding of Legal Tech and AI. Through our interdisciplinary collaboration with the AI and Product teams, we develop practical, legally compliant, and innovative solutions for law firms, companies, and the public sector. We work in an agile, collaborative manner with high technical depth – and actively shape European Legal AI.

Your responsibilities

  • Translating legal requirements into AI-compatible promptstemplates, and workflows
  • Legal research and analysis of new areas of lawas well as development of use cases and proof-of-concepts
  • Creation and implementation of requirement catalogs for structured document integration
  • Development of legal benchmarksbuilding test sets, and validation of AI outputs
  • Conducting and supporting QA processes to ensure professional quality
  • Collaboration with Product, Tech, and AI in developing new Legal AI features
  • Conducting training sessions and workshops (e.g., prompting, Legal AI best practicesfor internal teams and potentially clients

About you

  • Completed First and ideally Second State Examination as well as doctorate
  • Experience as a Legal Engineer
  • Ability to quickly and confidently familiarize yourself with new areas of law
  • Sound knowledge in Legal Tech or Legal AI
  • Team playercommitted, and passionate about complex legal topics
  • Structured, independent working style and confident interaction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of Python or initial programming experience
  • Advantageous: Experience with software or AI development (professional or personal)
  • Residence within the EU
  • Very good German and English language skills
